Progress Visits

Periodically, brief re-evaluations will be given to check your progress and recovery. Discontinuing care once you feel better predisposes you to a relapse.

It is hard to predict how one will respond to Chiropractic care.  Everyone is unique.  We'll have a better idea after a 10 visits.

Only then can we make a more accurate prediction about what it will take to complete your recovery and what will be needed to help you stay well.

A Brief Chiropractic Examination

Dr. Michelle will conduct several of the tests that we did on your first visit.  This will give us a way to tell where you are in relation to where you were when we first met.  Obviously, this is essential for plotting a more accurate plan for future care.

Continuing Chiropractic Care

Hopefully, if your progress is verified by objective findings, we usually modify your visit schedule by reducing your visit frequency.

About this time, many patients are feeling significantly better.  Many are often tempted to discontinue their care.  The amount of care you receive is always up to you...the patient.  If you do decide to discontinue care when you are starting to feel better, please remember that you are often predisposed to a relapse.  This happens because the supporting muscles and ligaments are fully healed.  This "healing of soft tissue" happens after symptoms disappear.

Please let us know how we can help you!!  We are here to support your decisions and be part of your health care team.

Dr. Michelle Asks some important questions of interest to Tucson residents - Chiropractor Tucson Dr. Michelle Asks...

What happens if you stop chiropractic care when you feel better?
Many Tucson folks recognize that this predisposes you to a relapse. Chiropractors know that muscles and ligaments supporting the spine don't fully heal until after symptoms subside.
How does headache medication find the headache?
It can't! Chiropractors know that when you ingest a drug and it enters your bloodstream it numbs or deadens your entire body. Chiropractic adjustments, on the other hand, are specific, targeted and delivered with precision.
